Lingyen Mountain Temple

Richmond, BC

Soil investigation, agricultural capability assessment, business plan development, drainage design, financial impact analysis, permitting

Since 2010 McTavish has worked with the Lingyen Mountain Temple on all agricultural aspects of their proposed temple expansion. This has involved:

Soil investigation, agricultural capability assessment and development of a farm plan to meet permitting requirements for the City of Richmond and the Agricultural Land Commission. This plan addresses soil and nutrient management, drainage and irrigation, and new crop implementation procedures. A detailed business plan was developed for the new farm operation.

Recent work includes assisting the Temple and architects in negotiations with the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure regarding purchase of land from the Temple for the Massey Bridge project.
