Involvement

McTavish prepared final planting plans for all riparian areas affected by the FortisBC Lower Mainland System Upgrade. This turnkey project included the supply and installation of native plants for riparian areas and the restoration of all private lands affected by the pipeline project. McTavish is part of the lands and restoration team that includes key FortisBC managers, engineers, biologists, and land agents who are responsible for all aspects of site restoration and landowner liaison.

Key tasks include:

  • Landscape and tree appraisal
  • Soil inspection and sign-off
  • Restoration planting including sourcing and supplying plants
  • Restoration activities including riparian planting, hydroseeding and landscaping
  • Danger tree assessments
  • Project management
